Section 1 Characteristics of traffic accidents involving motorcycles
  According to ITARDA's statistical study database for 2007, moped riders account for the largest number of casualties, 88,442 (59.8%), in traffic accidents involving motorcycles classified by engine displacement. Figure 1 shows the casualty toll classified by type of accident an d engine displacement. The most frequent type of accident involving mopeds is the crossing collision, with 29,191 deaths and injuries.
