2. Accidents In Which Inadequate Maintenance Was Assumed As the Primary Cause
  Looking at such accidents during the 11 years from 1994 to 2004 by accident pattern, vehicle-to-vehicle accidents accounted for 46.2%, whereas solo-vehicle accidents took up 44.2%. By faulty part, tires were overwhelming at 75%.

  Of the five accidents that took place in 2004, three were people-to-vehicle, none were vehicle-to-vehicle, and two were solo vehicle. By faulty part, inadequate tires caused 2 accidents, covering of windshield and other glass with film triggered 2 accidents, and faulty engine, 1. (Table 8)
