Figure 8 shows the numbers of fatalities per hour by accident type, during periods of rainfall and no rainfall in the two time
periods, 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each time period had its own characteristics regarding accidents occurring in areas outside of pedestrian crossing zones and accidents such as head-on collisions and collisions with structures. |

Figure 9 reveals that on a per hour basis during rainfall there are more fatalities involving pedestrians in areas outside of pedestrian crossings, head-on collisions, rear-end collisions, and structural collisions during the time period from 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. than the time period from 3:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. |
