5 Use of Traffic Mirrors
  Of the 832 people covered by this analysis, 700 were in accidents where no traffic mirror was installed.
The remaining 132 were involved in accidents at locations where traffic mirrors were installed. A summary of the use of the traffic mirror by these 132 people is shown below (also refer to Figure 14).

1) 103 people, approximately 78% of the total, had no clear accounts regarding the traffic mirrors. It is unknown as to whether this group recognized the traffic mirrors, but they were considered to have not made use of them.
An extremely high percentage of 86%, 113, "noticed the mirror but did not used it", "did not notice the mirror," or "looked at a different mirror".

2) Only 3 people, approximately 2% of the total, properly recognized the other driver using the traffic mirror.

3) The remaining 16 (12%) used the traffic mirror, but did not properly recognize the other driver for reasons shown in the right pie chart in Figure 14.
